Orvi, can you tell us about your role at rebuildingsociety.com and a bit about your background?
I initially joined the rebuildingsociety.com team in December 2015, working in customer service until 2017. I re-joined the team last year as Investor Relations Manager.
My primary goal is to help build and maintain strong relationships between the company and the investors who use the platform. This involves providing investors with accurate and timely information, as well as educating investors about the benefits of our different products and services.
In my five year absence, I established myself as an all-around entrepreneur, business manager, and freelance virtual assistant. rebuildingsociety.com has been immensely beneficial to my career, helping me develop leadership and project management skills.
Why do you enjoy working at rebuildingsociety.com?
Working at rebuildingsociety.com is rewarding for several reasons. Firstly, there are a lot of learning opportunities which help me gain more experience and develop different skills. Secondly, it enables me to work with an A-level team and executives, something that I always appreciate in a work setting. Lastly, I love that rebuildingsociety.com has a professional and supportive work environment.
What are you hoping to achieve in your role over the next 6 months?
As Investor Relations Manager at rebuildingsociety.com, my role is to develop and maintain relationships with investors providing them with insights for money invested or borrowed. I have set objectives and goals that I hope to achieve over the next six months. Some of the key goals I'm hoping to achieve as Investor Relations Manager include:
- Improving the company's reputation and profile in the investment community by enhancing communication with investors.
- Developing and implementing an effective investor relations strategy that aligns with rebuildingsociety.com’s overall strategic objectives.
- Providing timely and accurate financial information to both rebuildingsociety.com’s investors and borrowers, including financial reports and transactions.
- Monitoring and analysing market trends and competitor activity to identify risks and opportunities for the company and provide guidance to senior management.
- Building a strong network of relationships with investors.
- Building a flexible, easy-to-follow system that anyone from the company can easily understand and implement.
Can you tell me about what you like to do in your spare time?
As a mum, my spare time is limited. When I do have some free time, the things I love to do that help me relax, recharge, and find joy include crafting, cooking, and spending time outdoors. I always make sure that I’m near to nature so my house is a bit like a zoo where you can see ponds, lots of animals, and seriously tended gardens.
I also love music and have a collection of musical instruments that I try to find time for!
Other times, in between work, I also try to explore different apps as I love tools and technologies. It’s great to always learn something new and be able to make life easier and happier.
